As Women’s History Month begins, women's business and leadership groups are strengthening mentorship, leadership, and professional connections across the region.

ROCHESTER, NY — As Women’s History Month begins and International Women’s Day approaches on March 8, several organizations across Rochester are helping women expand their professional networks, develop leadership skills, and create new opportunities in business and community leadership.
International Women’s Day is observed globally each year to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while also calling attention to the work still needed to achieve gender equality.
The 2026 campaign theme highlighted by the International Women’s Day platform is “Give to Gain,” a message centered on the idea that when individuals and organizations contribute mentorship, resources, and opportunities to support women, the broader community benefits as well.

Across Rochester, several women-led networks and leadership organizations are putting that idea into practice by creating spaces where mentorship, collaboration, and leadership development can thrive.
Here are organizations helping drive that momentum in the Rochester region.

NXT Level Collective
NXT Level Collective is a community designed to connect and elevate ambitious women through intentional networking, leadership conversations, and curated experiences.
The organization focuses on creating spaces where women can build meaningful relationships while sharing ideas around entrepreneurship, career growth, and personal development. Events often blend professional networking with authentic community building, reflecting a broader shift away from traditional networking formats toward more relationship-driven engagement.
For many participants, the group offers an accessible entry point into Rochester’s growing innovation and professional ecosystem.

Greater Rochester Chamber Women’s Council
The Women’s Council of the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce brings together women leaders from many of the region’s largest companies and institutions.
The council hosts leadership discussions, panel events, and networking programs that focus on career advancement, corporate leadership, and the evolving role of women in the workplace.
As part of the Greater Rochester Chamber, the group connects participants directly to the region’s broader business community, providing access to executives, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders.
Building the Region's Leaders
Together, these organizations represent a broader ecosystem of support that continues to shape Rochester’s professional landscape.
Women across the region are launching companies, leading major organizations, and helping grow Rochester’s innovation economy. The networks supporting them are playing an increasingly important role in fostering mentorship, visibility, and collaboration.
As Women’s History Month highlights the contributions of women across industries, Rochester’s leadership and networking organizations are continuing to create spaces where ideas are shared, careers are advanced, and community connections are strengthened.
For many women in the region, those relationships are proving just as important as any single opportunity.
They are building the networks that help leaders grow.
